What is UVC?
UVC is the shortest wave length of the three forms of Ultra Violet light rays.  UVC has wavelengths between 200 – 280 nanometers. Radiation from UVC can cause severe skin burns and damage the eye.  Thankfully UVC from the sun is blocked by the ozone layer in the atmosphere.  However, through technology the power of UVC can be harnassed in eco-friendly sources such as lasers and lamps.

How It Works
​UVC technology breaks the genetic bonds in pathogens to the point they are unable to replicate and therefore can't cause infection.
UV light only works on directly exposed surfaces in close proximity.
According to the United States Food and Drug Administration: “UVC radiation is a known disinfectant for air, water, and nonporous surfaces. UVC radiation has effectively been used for decades to reduce the spread of viral and bacterial infections, such as tuberculosis.”
